Dear Jen of the Past,

You know how much you love to run through the house holding that huge mirror pointed upwards and pretending that you are traversing along the ceiling? I still do that from time to time and I have to say, it never gets old!

I wanted to write you and let you know that in a couple of years, you are going to fall in love with a director named Tim Burton – and he will help you in this quest of finding other realities. I had a once in a lifetime opportunity this year to go to a live music concert last night and it made it one of the best Halloweens ever! They played the soundtracks of his films live and set the screens above to play the movie’s moments with it. Danny Elfman (one of Tim’s homies) was there to perform his character on stage and Mr. Burton himself even showed up at the end! Ahhh!!! It was amazing!

I promise you’re going to love it. I know, I know – right now you’re telling me that it’s all about The Labrynth and Sarah and Hoggle right now – but trust me… big things are about to happen in film. You’re really gonna dig black and white stripes.

Anyways, just wanted to let you know…
